It is time! I have FINALLY decided to offer up the 2013 foal of Blackwell Racings most notorious mare, Roaring Charm! Over the years since her retirement we have received hundreds of requests from owners wishing for a foal off this mare. Until now I have always said no. I really wanted to see if she would produce a champion, like herself - and oh has she ever! So if you are new to the INJC racing scene and missed the 2011 racing year, let me fill you in on why this mare is so fantastic!
Roaring Charm is a 2008 Chestnut Thoroughbred Mare who is sired by Lion Heart and out of Turtle Creek. She was retired eary in her 2012 racing year with an impressive (20) 9 - 6 - 1 — $7,850,200 LTE record. All through this mares career she was battling the monstrously powerful stallion that many will remember, Hemi - who is also a INJC legend. Her first big win was the 2011 Kentucky Derby. She snatched the lead right from the start and led the charge all the way home. Her second big test was the Dubai World Cup. She would be racing against a field of champion Thoroughbreds, all coming off wins and all stallions. The field was beyond tough and although she held the lead for most of the 10F the late closer - Hemi - managed to slip by her, securing her 2nd place finish. Late in the fall she really found her stride and we had the chance to take on Hemi and a field of stallions again in the Breeders Cup Classic. We new that the 10F track was to her liking and that she was fit to give Hemi a true run for the money. Well, run she did. She overtook the field early and by the end had amassed an amazing 24 lenght lead! No horse could touch her speed! Early in 2012 we noticed a slight ebb in her attitude and performance. Still she brought home the Prix Royal-Oak win - with a 5 lenght lead as well as the Qatar Prix du Moulin de Longchamp - again with a fantastic 17 lenght victory. We wished to end on a high - and sound - note, so after the Qatar Prix du Moulin de Longchamp Roaring Charm was retired sound, happy and a true champion.

Now Roaring Charm has produced one gorgeous colt, BR Roaring River, for Blackwell Racing. BR Roaring River is a 2011 Chestnut Thoroughbred Stallion who is sired by Way Up River and currently racing. To dates he's toting a (23) 13 - 2 - 4 — $6,544,900 LTE race record that is still going strong. He, like his dam, likes to make the impressive wins. The Doncaster Mile was won by 16 lenghts, Preakness by 18 lenghts and so on. He has the power to do what his dam did and more, beat the tough stallion fields! He is a true testament of the talent he acquired from is dam!

As stated previous I am offering up the 2013 year on Roaring Charm. You MUST use a Blackwell Racing Stallion for the foal. Personally I would suggest either Heiwana, Way Up River or BR Black Creek. The resulting foal MUST race within the INJC for a minimum of 2 full years. This is something I will closely watch... if foal is not campaigned to full potential I will reclaim. Foal must carry the BR prefix and follow proper color genetic guidelines.
