While Friesians do have their own form of Fine Harness in breed shows, it's not the same class. The ASSA was originally built around the American Saddlebred breed circuit, so we're presuming that the class runs as a Saddlebred-type Fine Harness class. We're allowing the pony types because their class, while often held separate from the full size horses, is still the same class.
Unfortunately there will be a few situations like this for everyone when entering in the new ASSA, purely because the old ASSA site did not restrict classes to appropriate breeds.
For Friesians that used to do Fine Harness, I would recommend either Park Harness (Park discipline category) or Carriage Pleasure Driving (English pleasure discipline category).
